Pumpable Grouts

This is a revolutionary system for installing permanent underground ventilation seals.

The product is easy to install and eliminates the requirement for hitching into the roof, ribs and floor. With less manpower required for installation and possibility to place it remotely from the working site, the products reduce risk of unnecessary exposure of your workers, making them safer.

Tekseal is widely used around the world and is ideal for the difficult to reach areas.

The products within this range are available in various formulations to tailor their application to your needs.

A one component material which after mixing at the site of application with the appropriate amount of water (water/powder ratio of 1:1 to 4:1) sets to become a durable concrete material.

The material, upon exiting the pump, is liquid and thus it is able to fill any roughness and gaps. Tekblend gels after about 3 minutes depending on the preparation method.

Tekblend is commonly applied in:

  - building of monolithic packs for the protection of longwall galleries

  - building of ventilation and explosion resistant seals

  - building of isolation and backfill walls

  - filling voids (cavities) above mining excavation roof support

  - eliminating voids outside of mining excavation roof support

  - filling backfill voids

  - sealing of galleries

Produced in our South African manufacturing site, the products undergo stringent quality testing to ensure the right product reaches your hands.  

These grouts are usually supplied as 90 mm diameter x 400 mm long capsules, packed in a semi-permeable sheath.

Setting times are generally medium and fast set.

The Capram system was designed to afford an easy method of reliably achieving full column cement grouting in a hole of any size.

It can be used for pre- or post grouting, giving you the right flexibility when it matters the most.

Capram products can be used as a pumpable grout material as well as capsules, allowing for wider product application and adaptability.

The products are manufactured in South Africa and are available in the African region.

The required percentage of Conbex must be determined by actual test, using the actual tailings and actual mine conditions. Typical additions are 5-8% to obtain 1.0 MPa after 28 days.

The rate of strength gain can be affected by the following:

 - Wet density (solids content)

 - pH

 - Particle size distribution

 - Dissolved chemicals

 - Temperature

This product can be used for general void filling and the construction of lightweight barriers and bulkheads.

Typical applications of Air-O-Cem are for void filling around closed-off sets in tunnel drives or after rockfalls. Lightweight barriers for ventilation control or barriers to prevent air flow to underground fires are also easily constructed using Air-O-Cem.

It is available as a ready-mix prebatched powder, when mixing in the appropriate proportions with water, forms a thixotropic ready-to-use anchoring grout.

This chloride free mortar is a blend of selected rapid ordinary Portland cement and additives which modify the rheological properties and hardening of the mortar.

It can be used for the anchoring of steel parts, horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces, filling of cracks and anchoring of GRP bolts.

It is a single component mineral and cement-based binder, which upon blending with the appropriate amount of water and foaming in a suitable machine, sets to become a durable foam.

It is used for void filling, building of ventilation and explosion resistant seals, backfilling and other specialised applications.

Minotop 4 is a dry, cement-based mortar with high quality aggregate up to 8 mm and modified with additives. The highly fluid nature of Minotop 4 removes the need for compaction and vibration even where access to the repair zone is restricted or where reinforcement is congested.

It is supplied as a ready to use blend of dry powders which requires only the addition of clean water to produce a highly compacted, rapid setting mortar which is easy to apply.

The material is based on a blend of cements, graded aggregates, special fillers and chemical additives which control the rate of set and minimise the risk of shrinkage cracking.

Pianocem B is applied with standard machines commonly used for the supply of cement binders, e.g. pump units MONO WT 820, MONO WT-820/1.

Pianocem B is a mineral foam, which is produced at the application site by mixing the powder material with water and air at the water/powder ratio ranging from 1:1 to 2:1.

After blending with the appropriate amount of water and foaming in a suitable machine, it sets to become a durable foam.

When added to tailings slurry, the components react in stages to form a stiff cemented backfill, the characteristics of which can be designed to suit specific backfilling requirements.
